The Community & Local Government Relations unit presents another community reception recognizing local elected officials and UCLA Community Programs. Councilman Jose Huizar, who represents the 14th District, will join UCLA community program representatives, alumni, staff, and friends on this occasion to celebrate his election to office and UCLA's involvement in the 14th District.

The 14th District in the City of Los Angeles includes the communities of Boyle Heights , El Sereno and Eagle Rock. As one of the most ethnically diverse districts in the city, it has provided UCLA with the opportunity to reach out to a multicultural constituency through the arts, academic preparation, research, and youth employment and training.

You will have the opportunity to hear from Councilman Huizar about his priorities and goals for the 14th District and to see and learn more about UCLA Community Programs.
