The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Implementation of this new law is part of an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, create and retain 3.5 million jobs, and begin addressing critical national and global challenges.
The $787 billion package includes measures to modernize our nation’s infrastructure, enhance energy independence and scientific R&D, expand educational opportunities, and provide relief to for America’s working families.

The federal government has guidelines for disbursement of funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). For the latest updates, visit the official White House Recovery website at http://www.recovery.gov.
Federal agencies are also issuing guidance for new and supplemental awards under ARRA.
